PE and Sports Premium Funding
As a school we can choose how to use the funding but we must use the it to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport we offer our pupils.
For example, we can use the funding to:
- Hire qualified sports coaches to work with teachers.
- Provide existing staff with training or resources to help them teach PE and sport more effectively.
- Introduce new sports or activities and encourage more pupils to take up sport.
- Support and involve the least active children by running or extending school sports clubs, holiday clubs and Change4Life clubs.
- Run sport competitions.
- Run sports activities with other schools.

Personal Best Morning Each Term
We were lucky to receive a workshop from the gymnastics athlete Frank Baines to encourage the children to take up sport. Frank is a three time Commonwealth Games medal winner for Scotland and has won multiple senior British medals across several apparatus, proving his qualities as an all-around gymnast. This was also the case throughout the junior ranks, where Frank won two British all-around titles as well as claiming the Junior European all-around title. He is the current Scottish champion and recently won World Challenge Cup gold and silver medals for Great Britain. He moved to train at Pegasus Gymnastics Club in Maidstone earlier this year.
